3 person patio swing replacement for a cloth swing.

I have a patio swing that the cloth deteriorated and had to be removed. The grandkids like the swing and the stand is still good. I would like to replace it with wood but there is no lower back bar. How can I replace the swing?

I would try places like Craigslist. A wooden swing is something I wouldn't want the problems of moving so maybe you can get a good deal on one. Then use the parts of it you need to pair up with the stand you have. I hope I'm understanding what you need. Let us know how you do it!

Your question is interesting, but please post a picture of the swing/stand, so we can see exactly what you have to work with. Then more Hometalkers would be able to answer your question specific to your situation.

The wood will not hold up in the elements. Try a store that sells lawn furniture, they may have some. Which you might like. A padded seat and two cushions. Good Luck!

I also had a dilapidated old swing set. The frame was good but needed a good coat of paint. I then bought a swing made from logs that fit it perfectly. I put a coat of waterseal on the swing and it worked beautifully.
