Dining Room - The Details!

I hope you had fun with my Dining Room Reveal! Now here is a post with some of the deets...
I knew I was done with the red. But that was all I knew. Still having no idea what I wanted to change it to, I lived with it for a few short months.
Enter my favorite place on earth - the thrift store. On one of my trips, I stumbled upon a set of 6 gorgeous plates and 6 silver chargers sitting right next to them. The price was crazy good considering they were Noritake china! After some debating (why was I debating, they are gorgeous!?), I put them in my cart. Went a couple aisles down and I see the matching serving platter! Completely not where it should have been so I took it as a sign that I was meant to buy them! And there, my color scheme was born!
Add the inexpensive Target placemats and napkins along with SPARKLY napkin rings from Bed, Bath and Beyond, and I was on my way!
The curtains...another lucky find! Originally $80 for the pair at JcPenney, I found these for $20 per set at the bargain store Ollie's. They buy overstock from the stores & I happened to be there on the right day ;)
Those orchids I found at Goodwill and they were originally red. I used them in my previous dining room decor. All I did was tape off what I wanted to remain unchanged, tied a plastic bag around the pot & green leaves, and spray painted the flowers white :)

The chandelier...yes, another lucky find. There is a story behind this and its pretty amazing so I'll save it for it's own post :)

The serving platter was part of the original score at the thrift store that led to the dining room redo.
The chairs...you can read all about that makeover here.
The topiaries, yep I made those! I'll tell ya how later.
The buffet, I refinished the top. That post is up next :)

The 2 picture frames were a Goodwill score, and the 3 prints were on clearance at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They actually had no backing and got kinda lost on the gray wall so I attached white poster board to the back and now they really stand out!
