Check your soil before planting and amend. Garden centers sell sprays that you apply during the growing season. I use epsom salts after planting. Google tomato blight and you will find out what your soil needs. Good soil is the answer.
I was told by an award winning tomato grower that once you get tomato blight you should bleach that area of soil and not plant in that area again for a while.
My Grandmother used a spray called Blossom Rot. I have not purchased it, but your local nursery or department store that sells plants will know about it. I have also heard it can be helped by adding calcium to the tomatoes. They recommended grinding up egg shells and coffee grounds with some banana peel to help the nutrients and make the tomato plant more healthy. Hope this helps.

Place egg shells in the dirt before planting your plants, I do this ever year and haven't had any problems since.
I agree with Crissy Wells. I save our egg shells all year. Dry them out on foil on my gas grill. Then grind them up real small. when I till the soil I add to the dirt. Have had nic tomato's ever since. It's organic and harms nothing.
