Can I make toilet paper rolls into hair curlers.

I have very long hair and toilet papers rolls are perfect size for soft curls.I would cut them in half, but, don't know how to make them damp proof.

Use cling wrap on the roll
cover roll with cling wrap
Cover them with contact shelf liner, they become waterproof and have many lovely prints.
I'd suggest duck tape!
Try wrapping them with aluminum foil ,that should do it!
