Start with cleaning the floor with a vacuum. Remove what furniture you can. Mix Murphy's oil soap with water, according to the directions on the bottle. Depending on how large the floor is, change the bucket if the water becomes cloudy. Let dry completely, and you should have a nice shine. Good Luck!

Remove all the furniture that you can, and vacuum the floor. Next use Murphy's oil soap, according to the directions on the bottle. Let dry completely, you should have a beautiful shine. If the water gets slightly cloudy, change the water. Also don't soak the floor, just a wringed out mop for applications. Good Luck!

sweep/vacuum floor; move furniture as best you can -- be careful to not scratch the floor; 1 cup of plain white household vinegar to a gallon of warm water does a nice job; no rinsing; change out bucket as the water becomes too soiled. Rinse your mop in a separate bucket of just plain water.

Do not use Murphy's Oil Soap. It builds up and makes your floor dull. Vinegar & Water is the way to go

You're right. Have tried it before after others had recommended it, and it makes your floor sticky as well which attracts dirt.
