What procedure will eliminate furniture from excuding cigarette fumes.

neighbor gave me a dry sink from her deceased mother who was a chain smoker. Especially during humid weather, I can smell the cigarette odor and I've had it for a couple years now. Is there anything I can do to elimate the odor?

Sounds as if she wants you to know she is happy it is being used! Maybe you could try Spraying "Febreze" in it.

This sounds unreal, but burn some nice smelling candles, this will remove the smell from the dry sink. Don't cover it up with a deodorizer, it just is a cover up for the smell. Leave the door closed. Let the candle burn a long time, then open the window. Good Luck!

  • Carbon charcoal that you put in fish tanks works I refinish furniture for a living and have this problem the charcoal absorbs the smell

Here is how I removed smoke smell from a leather saddle. First I cleaned it really well. While it was fresh and damp I placed it in a dark garbage bag with a jar of instant coffee pour that had been spread out in a shallow pan. I placed the enclosed saddle , with the pan in the sun for about two days. Uncovered it, re cleaned the saddle and set it another day in the sun uncovered... no smoke smell to this day, ( did this about 2 years ago)

Well the only other ideas I can think of are , to Seal it ! Maybe with Polyurethane Varnish? Or maybe Paint it, because it seems that the smoke has penetrated the wood. or Try white Vinegar,,,,,,,,,Best of luck!
