      I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused. This link is all about removing hair spray stains, not removing nail polish stain on carpet. Thank you tho.

    Ok, so I think you were asking about new and old nail polish stains, and nail polish remover didn't work for you. A high percentage rubbing alcohol may work...91 or 99%, not the 50% stuff from the $ store. I have used it to remove old paint off of carpeting. It may take a few applications and a brush. Don't scrub too hard. Just be persitent and blot, then reapply until gone. I remember a nurse removing my nail polish with rubbing alcohol at the hospital too. Good luck.
