I was at the Dollar Store and saw these plastic spider web candy bowls. I knew RIGHT AWAY what I could do with them, so grabbed two and got to work. This project was so easy, and it turned out so good...you'll all be rushing to the Dollar Store to do your own.
Started with a sanded board I had in my stash. I also did this with an old worn board, not sanded and it turned out just as cool. Halloween time, no need for perfect boards, the older and more distressed the better I think.
This is the spray paint I used. Got it at local hardware store.
Started spray painting the board. Man, I love spray paint!
Now THIS is where it gets fun. I used some white satin spray paint I had on hand, and used the outlines of the plastic bowl to create Halloween magic!
Just put it on the black board and sprayed lightly in the middle of the bowl. It didn't matter if it oversprayed a bit, because the whole bowl is a design.
This is what it looks like after I sprayed. Then just lifted it off and continued placing it on different areas of the board.
Since the little spiders were so cool, I sprayed them too.
Here is a picture of the spider after spraying it on the board. There's no rhyme or reason to where you place the plastic board to spray, just lay out how you like. And low and behold...............
HALLOWEEN MAGIC!!! Isn't it the coolest! And could NOT have been any cheaper or easier. I think I'll take orange spray paint and maybe add some words on there like BOO or SPOOKY or something. Get to the Dollar store before these $1 bowls are gone! How Fun!
Added this photo after putting lettering on it. Used a vinyl stencil and spray painted orange.
