Any ideas what I can do with an old tire for outside

PInt it a. Right color and make a swing out of it. Hang it from a strong tree branch. Or...if you have a mailbox on a post, drop it over so it encircles the post. Fill with solid and plant whatever you like.

Turn it inside out; cut the top edge in small triangles to give a fringed or flower look. Paint tire a solid color or go with a design; fill with soil and plant

Beware those things contain toxic chemicals that are carcinogenic.

I've seen them used in a number of ways, painted and natural -- just remember that anything that is painted will eventually need to be repainted and can begin to look really bad as it gets that way. Also, they can attract -- be a home for -- those things that bug us that tend to congregate beneath anything left in the yard, including a place for some things to hide that can sting, so you might not want it close to your house. If not filled with dirt, they can hold water and breed mosquitoes.
