Maybe something for in a garden or with flowers in it. No room for anything in house. Thank you for any ideas!

PInt it a. Right color and make a swing out of it. Hang it from a strong tree branch. Or...if you have a mailbox on a post, drop it over so it encircles the post. Fill with solid and plant whatever you like.

Turn it inside out; cut the top edge in small triangles to give a fringed or flower look. Paint tire a solid color or go with a design; fill with soil and plant

I do t know about you, but I always need more seating. This would be a fun one to do:

I've seen them used in a number of ways, painted and natural -- just remember that anything that is painted will eventually need to be repainted and can begin to look really bad as it gets that way. Also, they can attract -- be a home for -- those things that bug us that tend to congregate beneath anything left in the yard, including a place for some things to hide that can sting, so you might not want it close to your house. If not filled with dirt, they can hold water and breed mosquitoes.

As a child's swing -- whole or half, they're only as safe as the tree limb or frame to which they're tied and should not be used for small children either way -- they're heavy and can hurt even an adult if it swings against them, especially their head..

Whole and filled with dirt, they're often used in rural areas as planters. or as a curb around a mail box post.

Cut in half or quartered, they can make a border for a flower bed or to outline a path.

In a ditch, if filled with dirt and covered with stones, they can help stop erosion.

Note: it's more work to cut tires for such projects now than before "steel belted" tires became common.

I see others have suggested Pinterest and I agree. A few days ago someone posted a tire they had turned into a yard planter. This is the nicest one I have ever seen. It too is on Pinterest. http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/1490023/the-brick-tire
