When should I transplant peonies and lilies?

    You can plant both in fall or very early spring; peonies need a cold spell to kick them into drive (so to speak). You may not get any flowers the first year but you will the second year and on. Choose the sites carefully as peonies do not like to be moved. Lilies are not as demanding and can be planted as you get them, but I try to plant them as above.

    transplant and prune any month that has an "R" in the month.. i.e. November, January, February, March, April. your plants will love you for planting in the right seasn.

    When the bulbs are dormant - after flowering, after the green growth has died down but well before flowering.
