I used hydrogen peroxide to whiten a stain on the front of a 100% cotton blouse. It worked! Until I hung it in the sun to dry. Now I have a large pale yellow stain where the peroxide had been applied. How to I get the yellow out???

Did you rinse the the blouse good after treatment?! Use Rit Color Remover. It will remove all color.

Peroxide lightens hair in the sun. It may have reacted with the fabric. It may be possible the sun did it. I had a cotton uniform once that they said not to use bleach because it would turn it pale pink, never tested it, but I know at least one other student did and had to buy a new uniform.

I too think the sun did it. Thanks for the suggestion to NOT use bleach! I too have ruined things with bleach :(
