How do I hang the duo swival lights & what is the string for????

I purchased a package of under the counter duo swivel lights & I can't figure how to hang them, what is the string for & what is that extra round piece & where does it go??????????? This is sooooooooooooooo frustrating.

Did it not contain instructions for use inside the box? If not go ta them back and ask for box with instructions Or. telephone the Manufacturer's Customer Relations and ask them to send you one.....
I agree with Johnavallance82. We can not know what you are seeing or what product you bought. It is possible that someone might recognize what you have if you posted pictures. The seller, distributor, or manufacturer are all better choices to answer your questions with useful advice.
I've always had good luck getting on the manufacturer's website, and looking up the manual for the product and downloading it, and then there is the section most have with common questions and their responses to them to resolve problems. The manual usually has a parts schematic and directions to put together.
