Are you trying to encase it or just frame it on the wall like in a bathroom? difference between the two methods is that one can be removable and one is pretty much just in place.
If you are just making the frame on the wall, just measure and pick out the type of wood you want to use. I used a miter box to cut the corners and added it with some small nails on the sides. If your mirror ends at the vanity you can add the trim there with some glue
