What happens when Potting soil against house?

What happens if you put black potting soil with little insects and roots from a garden against the house? Anything? Will the bugs go away or wiil it create a fungus or possibly attract termites or rodents?

my place is at the bottom of the slope. i regularly dump the used potting mix from my containers next to the house. helps keep the water out of my basement. termites eat wood, i treat the perimeter of the house with a product from big box lumber store. i haven't seen fungus, occasionally a garter snake snacking, but they are a pretty harmless critter.
Anything infested with bugs gets quarrantined and tossed for those very reasons! My yard is too small to take the chance.
The bugs may stay in the soil, the roots may take root. It all depends on if you have plantings nearby that may get the bugs from the soil.
Throw the soil out.You will certainly be asking for trouble. they are fungus gnats which lay eggs in the soil and it is not worth trying to get rid of them
i always compost anything that goes on plants or in my yard or garden-if you side dress with well-composted anything and then mulch over it you wont have weeds or bugs. also, I hill up my plants to give them better chaNce of better roots
Bugs aren't the real issue. Termites and water seepage into your foundation is. There should be some kind of barrier between your foundation and beds. Stone looks nice and provides good drainage.
