Boiling water followed by salt. Salt will kill almost every form of plant life. So take care when using it. Good luck.

Vinegar kills all grass and weeds and plants and flowers too! Be careful not to get them on anything you want to keep and grow.

Please DO use something natural; world-wide we are loosing colonies of honey bees by the thousands, plus...If we loose these natural pollinators of crops, we loose food, etc.

Salt is being washed into the water table and it does not go away. The salinity of streams, rivers and lakes is going up and will never dissipate, just build up more. It will change forever the living plants and animals that live in this water, if not kill them. Vinegar sterilizes the soil it touches and takes a long time for plants to be able to grow in that area. It filters down in the soil and kills any roots that are touched by the run off. Natural is good, but not always the best. If you read all of the back of the round up containers it is safe to humans and animals once it dries. Depending on the one used, it can just be a matter of hours before you can plant in the sprayed area.

Another good thing is concentrated vinegar. I get 28%,@ the hardware store. Use with a dollar store spray bottle.
