How can I fix my Kobo?

I owned a Kobo ( e-reader sold at Chapters and it's other affiliations- Great e-reader, however the weakness this reader has is to have a break down at the portal where the charger is plugged in to recharge. It becomes impossible to connect the two, due to the wiring that appeared bent and broken.

does anyone have a suggestion as to how this might be fixed
