Pick lightweight clothing that can easily be mixed in matched. Roll the clothes instead of folding them. Put shoes on the bottom and you can put under clothes inside. Don't bother packing shampoo or other toiletries that can easily be picked up at a drugstore when you get to where you're going.
Color coordinate everything so you have many combinations of tops and bottoms. Blues and blacks often go with many things.
