Really whenever you feel that your summer decor doesn't suit your mood any more. It might be that the air has turned cooler and crisper, the kids have gone back to school, or just that mums and pumpkins have begun making an appearance in your local stores, but if you feel the urge, it's probably time.

September 22, the first day of fall or when you want to do it.

  • Whenever you feel like it! I do not start until October as it is still blazing hot where I live and have had many 80°+ Halloween days and nights. Then that decor is up till Thanksgiving weekend when I start switching out for Christmas / Hanukkah decor. No set rule, if you feel the urge, go for it!

I think anytime during September is a great time to start putting out fall decorations.....To me, that is generally the time when autumn starts.
