Try scrubbing with baking soda and vinegar

Have you tried a little Ajax or soft scrub cleanser on a damp rag? I can't tell if it's a stain or if part of the porcelain is gone.....

I have really hard water and get a built up around my drains. Bartender's Friend is a great product for this.

It may be permanent if it is cultured marble. I have the same problem, but CLR does help make it less noticable.

Your can try a pumice Stone. That's what I use.

Try placing a Fabric Softner Sheet in the bottom and let it set for a little while. Then scrub gently.

Close the drain. Soak a washcloth well with CLR and press onto the stained area. Cover with plastic wrap and let soak overnight. Remove all and scrub in the morning. You might see some change but not a perfect ending.

The easiest way to fix sinks and toilets with mineral stains from water is to close sink stopper, fill sink with a few inches of distilled white vinegar and let soak a few hours! For toilets, you can clean toilet well, turn off water, glush, take paper towels soaked in white vinegar and place them in toilet bowl and let soak for several hours. Remove paper towels and put in trash. Never flush paper towels or you will have major plumbing block!!! White vinegar works well. You can also remove calcium/lime deposits on faucets by filling small plastic bag with white vinegar put over faucet head or shower head, hold in place with a rubber band. Soak for an hour or so, check progress and remove or soak longer. When done, rince thoroughly. Use the white vinegar once a month or so depending on how hard your water is!

I use a pumice stone....works best, especially for small areas. Both my bathroom sinks looked the same as yours, maybe worse.......just wet the stone and scrub til' all is gone! Home Depot or Target sell them.

I let vinegar sit in mine for an hour to remove the minerals. Then scrubbed with baking soda. For further cleaning, put fifty percent each bleach and water and let that soak the sink.

Go to your auto parts store and buy some emery cloth. It comes in a small roll for about $5.50. Tear of a piece about 3", get it wet and scrub over the water deposit spots. It will take them right off without scratching enamel. It is pliable and will get into the little cracks by your faucets, where as a pumice stone will not. Just don't scrub really hard as it will take off the enamel, I mean REALLY hard. You only need to apply enough pressure to take off the water deposit build up. I have been using emery cloth for years. It is some amazing stuff. You should be able to use a piece 2-3 times.

oh hi again will that emery cloth clean other surfaces, like stainless steal sink and very old bathroom tub tile ?..

If finish is gone and bleach does not work, I think there are do it yourself finish kits at Home Depot and other home stores. I would talk to someone there.
