Wait until the hairball/ throw up is dry. If you try to wipe it up while wet it will go further into yer carpet. When dried out...use a fork and scrape it loose from the fibers. Then vacuumed.

I had a truly disgusting stain of this sort recently. I cleaned as much as possible off the carpet, first. Then, I moistened the area with white vinegar, sprinkled it with baking soda and then let it dry. Vacuum up the baking soda and repeat if any stain remains. There were three areas with the stains. One of them took two applications. Hope this helps.

I first wipe up with paper towel, then I spray Dollar Tree Homestore Foam Carpet Cleaner on it and brush with a soft carpet brush.

First blot as much of it up as possible. Then pour club soda on it and blot again. Add more club soda and let it sit a while and blot once more. Then use Spot Shot (it is really the best - I know because I have 3 cats). The stain should be gone, but when it is dry, use Carpet Fresh for Pets on it (Arm & Hammer) to make the carpet smell good again. Meow!!!

use baking soda or cat litter to soak up any wet residue. Vacuum the baking soda up afterwards, then use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to make a thin paste. Sprinkle it onto the stained area, scrub it lightly with a damp cloth. Let dry, the vacuum again to remove the dried baking soda.
