Book-Inspired Buffet, Baby!

I recently hosted a baby shower for my niece. In lieu of cards (which get tossed aside once gifts are put away), books were suggested to accompany gifts with the giver's message inside. I carried out the food buffet with children's book titles as the theme. Come see how it played out, and how we started baby's own library!
(See accompanying spring-themed tablescape at this blog post: http://wvpanoply.blogspot.com/2014/02/spring-themed-luncheon-tablescape.html).
"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" headed up the buffet for the baby shower.
"The Tale of Peter Rabbit" was placed with the veggie tray: Veggie shooters made with DOllar Tree clay pots, lined with plastic shot glasses, and planted with ranch dip, celery, carrots & peppers + Mariposa's wheelbarrow with more.
"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Strega Nona" (Grandma Witch) accompanied meatballs & orzo pasta salad.
Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham" played out with a drop or two of green food coloring in the deviled eggs. Finger sandwiched with ham salad completed the title.
Dr. Suess' "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish" kept watch over the Swedish fish, one of our guest of honor's favorite snacks.
The food buffet, inspired by children's book titles.
"Baby Cakes" was placed by the desserts (petit fours and sugar cookie fruit cups).
