Try sprinkling moth balls around the garden.

Why do you want to? Cats bury their waste and it adds to your garden. If it's in the surface it is not likely to be cats.

Use ammonia around the plants, but not too much. Spray it on the bottom, not to close. This will work. Your plants will be fine if you just spray, and not soak the area. Good Luck!

Cloves work too. My mother told me to do this years ago to keep the cat out of my houseplants, it doesn't always work with dogs though.

Wear gloves because the cats won't stop.

thanks, yes have been using gloves, but it is so annoying when I don't own a cat and have to spend extra money buying things. I have taught my dog to chase them but they come out at night when she is inside.......frustrating to say the least

I've red that if you use either cinnamon sprinkled all over or red pepper flakes it will keep them away. I haven't had that much of a problem so haven't tried but I have heard several people swear by it. Worth a try anyway.

I read another post and this one sounded good with a chuckle, get some catnip and try and spread or dump it in the cat owners yard(s)
