Does anyone know what type of plant this is and how to get rid of it?
This "volunteer" plant blooms pretty white flowers . I have tried digging up the root, etc, but it just comes back. It has also started a couple of other places.
They do look aphid but I can't magnify it enough for sure. You have to kill all stages. Best medicine IS beneficial insects. Place them at the site and they feed right away. Good luck!
They look like scale bugs. Your best bet is to take them into the nursery and ask them for a remedy. My mom had these on her peach tree and theyre hard to get rid of without a spray.

Could be Japanese Beetles which are rampant this year......especially on roses and hostas. We were told to dust them with Seven dust, which we did and had to do it twice before the bugs were gone. The Japanese Beetles look a lot like "stink bugs".
