DIY Wire Hanger Mobile

Kinetic art, a kinetic sculpture, a structure that balances and moves and twists; these are synonyms of a mobile. I find them all too pretty, especially those by wire that balance elegantly and twist gracefully in the air. This is my first attempt to make a mobile, so art is an improper word; kinetic experiment or attempt sounds better.
The most important thing to decide is the theme. You can find many beautiful examples in a short "googling" research: paper crafts and origami, fabric or wooden items, metallic, etc. Due to my preference to vintage and shabby chic style, I choose balloons made by old yellow book paper; easy and beautiful. The second important thing is to find the balance ... so be patient, one step at the time.
what I will need
a wire hanger (or two)
pliers
scissors
glue
paper (decorative, cardboard, etc., anything is welcomed)
beads or other decorative items
1 • Make a simple draw of your 'wannabe' mobile. My own was quite ambitious and complicated in the beginning, but in the end was transformed to a more realistic and minimal, still beautiful, structure.
2 • Cut the hanger in the desirable pieces using pliers and ... little strength! Use a small piece to make the central hanger and make loops in every side of the other pieces.
3 • Connect them in the desirable way; the most simple way is to make an X hanged in the center.
4 • Prepare the theme items. I cut paper in balloon shape and made four, 3D-like, in different shapes. I passed a thick thread inside them and attach a bead at their bottom to look like balloon.
5 • Hang the decorative items in the wire mobile in a way to balance them. Twist, readjust the length or make angles with the wire, if it is necessary
