Are you talking ceramic or vinyl tiles? That will determine what you have to do

Hire some strong teenagers who will work for $8 an hour and free bottled water. I'm serious. Especially if they are under working age and are working toward a goal. Several times I have hired teens from our church to clean out the flower beds for $50 or $100 to go toward their camp expenses, for instance. If you hire more than one or two, it's usually better to offer a price for the whole job because their will be a lot of malingering and giggling going on. Collect all electronic devices until the job is done, and make sure you get the youth pastor or director or a couple of parents involved. If you don't go to church, you can still call some churches near you or look online on how to contact the right person. Many youth leaders are looking for cheap activities their group can be involved in. Our older youth help in the yearly yard sale we have at church to help raise money for the younger children's VBS or children's camp. See what you can offer. Best wishes 😇

    Hi all

I used some hydrogen peroxide and a Mr Clean Magic Eraser and used some elbow grease and scrubbed!

The hair dye almost disappeared from my wooden floor.

another suggestion was to use alcohol.

Thank you for all your suggestions

If they are old, you must make sure that they do not contain asbestos first.

Are you trying to expose wood plank flooring in hopes of having the planks sanded and refinished? If so, there are sharp edged, heavy duty scrapers sold for this purpose. Not necessarily fun. Wear goggles. Do not sand yourself, as there may be asbestos. (glue is horrible to remove) If you intend to lay new vinyl, you do not have to remove them. They often lay directly over, same as with new laminate floors. Sometimes they staple thin plywood, then lay new vinyl.

In a small entryway and a bathroom I removed the subfloor and replaced it. Far easier to start new, where it comes to ceramic and adhesives and grout, actually. The exception being cement floors.
