How can I clean my oven glass door? I've tried baking soda an vinegar

It has so much buildup that nothing seems to penetrate it!

Have you tried oven cleaner? The have odorless now, just spray on the foam. Let it soak for 4 to 8 hours before wiping off, reapply as needed. It should come off. I hate using chemicals, but sometimes they are needed.

You might have to use SOS, with a little bit of water on it. Scrub lightly. Wipe with wet hot rag, rinse. Good Luck

I had the same problem but when I was at a friends house who owns a stove with a glass top I was amazed when he took a single edge razor blade and proceed to scrape the top perfectly spotless. That is when I had an "aha" moment. Wonder if that would work on my glass oven door. To my surprise, it did and then I just cleaned an shined it with oven cleaner.Maybe it would work for you. I just know it worked for me.

straight edge (one side) razor blades, sold by wallpapering supplies. necessity for burn spills inside ovens, when oven cleaner or self clean is not enough. careful with oven cleaners on trims, such as oven door surrounds, and woodwork, etc.

When you mix baking soda and vinegar, you are making salt water and carbon dioxide gas in water, use the vinegar alone, and slightly warm in in the microwave before use. I also found a product at the dollar store called "Awesome" it is in a clear plastic spray bottle, and the original formula is yellow in color. It cleans just about everything! It took off the baked brown gunk off my 20 year old toaster oven with just a toothbrush!

ok you will need 2 cups of ammonia; oven door, 2 large black plastic bags large enough for the oven door to fit into and be sealed; a sunny hot day; god strong metal pot scrubber pads; remove oven door from the stove ( usually easy to do by pulling up and out on the door) put one bag inside the other, carry the oven door,

& the bags outside; then get the ammonia and just pour it into the bag with the door; tie bags shut. let it sit outside for 3 to 4 hours in the nice hot sunshine; open bags and check to see if the build up has softened; if not, seal back up and let sit in the sun for at least another 2 hours; then check again; it should be soft; get your scrubbers and start scrubbing the build up off while the door is in the bags; you can dip the scrubbers down into the ammonia if you need some moisture to help with scrubbing; it also might help to have a bucket of hot water with something like Dawn in it to help with the scrubbing, too; when you are done scrubbing the build up off; remove from bags and hose off with water to wash off the ammonia and soap, let it sit in the sun for an hour until dry,put it back onto the stove, you ar now done.
