Suit up, think haz mat suit, then trim everything down to ground level, then either dig out the roots or I use vinegar, lots and lots of vinegar to kill the roots. Needs to be reapplied after rain, but it does work. After you are done, carefully take your stuff off and toss into the washing machine - but first hop in the shower to get yourself clean - then your clothes!
Round Up does a gooood job. That is what I use. drench really good and it goes away and never comes back.
3 pounds of salt in a gallon of soapy (dish detergent) water. Natural weed killer that is supposed to even kill poison ivy. I've never tried it.
You can try a saline solution in a spray bottle and spray it on the poison ivy leaves: three pounds of salt, a gallon of water, and a quarter-cup of dish soap.

Hello, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary.
