You can choose any colour you want, enjoy! I would leave it up on the wall and check it at different times of the day, as well as sunny and overcast moments.
The first is very blush-like and is more like a neutral. I had it for a few years, when I couldn't decide what to do. The last one will look bright orange if you don't have very much light. We had a peachy tone in our bathroom basement, and it made our hearts race, because it was so bright, with no window. The middle one IMO, is the most soothing without being bland.
Hello Tammy, I truly wouldn't know which color YOU would be most comfortable with for a long period of time. Studies say we spend 1/3 of our lives in our bedrooms, but I believe it is much closer to 1/2 because we are not always sleeping a solid 8 out of 24 hours when we are in our rooms. The whole point of a bedroom is to be able to unwind, deeply relax, and eventually get a good night's sleep. I need to read before I sleep but if I had neon green walls (to match my favorite shirt) I wouldn't get much true rest in there, nor would I with certain shdes of other colors. The choice is stirctly up to YOU and what YOU like and can tolerate for 8-12 hours every day. The fact that you chose neutral colors shows you ARE planning on resting, but that you also DO spend more than just sleep time in your bedroom. You also want to consider which contrasting colors you will be adding to each for a pop of color here and there so your room won't eventually feel like it's closing in on you. It doesn't matter what other people think because THEY won't be the ones spending all that time in YOUR room ;) YOUR BEDROOM, YOUR CHOICE of how it is going to look ;) Good Luck :) Sleep soundly, and thanks for asking HOMETALK for ideas.
Try a soothing color in the blue, green range
my favorite painting trick is to paint a foam core presentation board abig one and paint it in your first choice of color. Move it arround the room for a week. Can you live with it.....if not repaint flame core w choice 2. Repeat until you find s good fit for you.
I think the above HomeTalkers gave you excellent recommendations, especially to do what YOU like. The best advice is to try your colors at all times of the day, bright morning light, dull rainy days, twilight, you get the idea. Each color will look different at differing times of the day. If you love color, perhaps the easiest way is to look at something more neutral so that you can play up your love of color without the clashing of the background. Regardless, the bottom line is still, what is it you want to accomplish and what do YOU like?
Color is strictly subjective, but personally, I like the middle color.
Go with the color on the left and accessorize with any color you want.
I'm going to try that
I finally made my decision, thank you everyone, you gave me great advice. So I decided to go with something first I could live with since it is my bedroom, then I wanted to be able to change colors around when ever I wanted to. So the color I have chosen is Pelican. The painting will start in two weeks.
