Help for tub & tile update please!

My apartment was built in the 70's, and the bathroom walls are mostly tiled, with the tub and sink matching the dated mauvey-taupe wall tiles. The tub has stains that I can NOT get rid of. I only have 1 bathroom, so the Toughas Tile option is a no-go, since I do need to bathe. I've also read a lot of reviews that comment about the bad smell with that stuff. Bathroom is poorly ventilated and the only entry to the bathroom is through the bedroom. Looking for durable, classy options that aren't going to break the bank (since I rent). Ideas?

Ask your Landlord if he is willing to change the Bathroom Suite, and if so how long would it take? (Perhaps you could arrange to visit a friend to Bathe) Or.

Cover up stains in Bath with a Smart Rubber type Bathmat and Put Metal or Mirror Stick on Tiles on some of your Tiles to give a new look. Change the Toilet Seat to match. and Put up a Large Mirror to match..........

Not much you can do without the expressed permission from the owner. Maybe he/she would be willing to update the bathroom professionally for you. There are companies that can do it one day. It would benefit the owner in the long run. Doesn't hurt to ask. Best of luck.

All great suggestions!! My landlord is pretty good about me doing upgrades, etc, so long as they don't decrease the value of the property! I will try to soft-scrub again, and if that doesn't work, then I'll do some research on the other suggestions! 🙂
