We removed two evergreens at the corners of our house, now there is two bare spots left behind. What is a sure way to grow grass there. I was told it would be hard to do. Any ideas?

soil is very acidic now....work up soil ,generously sprinkle on baking soda and water in well. Wait for a couple weeks for several rains or water 2x a week well

Scatter some hay over the spots, thick enough to not see the dirt underneath. The seeds from the hay should get things going again!

Were the trees uprooted and pulled out, or did someone grind them down to the ground? if stumps and roots are still there, not only is there less ground for the new grass to get a hold on, but evergreens will send shoots upward that can become new trees. Evergreens by their nature can resist drought, very cold temps and fire better than most other types of trees, which makes them difficult to get rid of by our puny efforts. But try any! đŸ˜‡

They were ground. I just want to know how do I get grass to grow where the tree had covered. Just a brown circular area on both front corners of my house. Is there a certain depth I need to dig down and resolute, like under pine trees?
