Sliding mirror closet doors.

I want to change them. It's a long closet in the master bedroom. I also hate that rail and the small wheels attach in the bottom to the mirror closet doors, on the bottom the wheels and the rail collects dirt and hair. It's easy to remove the mirror closet doors to clean the rail and the wheels, but difficult to put them back, readjust them and align them. Anybody out there that have any suggestions. Thanks.

Check and ask a contractor, for advice. Not to ask him to do it, but ask for info. They may give you wonderful info. Best wishes, J.

Most wood bifold doors do not need a rail at the bottom, they just hang from the top. Replacing the mirrored doors with wooden doors is not difficult if you already know how to realign them.

Vacuum the track weekly when you vacuum the carpets, and once in a while run a damp wet wipe down the track.

If you have enough space to slide them over along a wall, you could do barn doors also that hang from an overhead track.
