Create a happy Harvest nest of felt acorns to your Fall decor this year! You could also string these acorns onto yarn for a festive garland.
Here is a list of supplies that you will need:
Felt balls - I used 10 mm Felt Wool balls in assorted colors (note: this is an Amazon affiliate link)
First, you will need to have an acorn hunt in your yard or local park. You can also purchase acorn caps here on Amazon (affiliate link).

Once you have your acorns gathered, remove the nut from the cap. This can be done by holding the nut with one hand and the cap with the other and giving it a simple twist.

Toss the nuts back out into the yard for the squirrels to enjoy!
The felt wool balls that I used came in a wide variety of colors - sort through and pick your favorites based on your decor.

To assemble simply place a bit of hot glue into your cap and top with your felt ball. Allow to dry, and voila! You have made easy felt acorns for your Fall decor!
I think they are especially charming in a mini nest. To make the nest simply fill a mason jar lid with a bit of moss and top with your tiny colorful gems.
