Affordable neighborhood help- How can I purge, I'm a hoarder...

Question

I live in Sunrise, FL I'm 88 yrs old and decided to become a minimalist. I need someone to help me purge and organize my bedroom which is a housekeeper's nightmare. Boxes of stuff all around room. Basically I'm a hoarder and age related problem: bad back, imbalance all prevent me from doing it. Is there an organization that charges a fee a senior can afford ?

if it's in boxes and you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it. call salvation army or veterans to pick it up, just write it off and feel cleansed.

Yes there is, just sometimes hard to find. Hoarding is a medical condition and you may be able to get help through your medical provider. I would contact every senior center in your area as they will have info and be able to point you in the right direction. Here are a few links to get you started! It will be a long road and a hard job, but you can do it with the right help! I would also go so far as to contact the tv show called Hoarders - they might even be able to help you locate low cost professional organizers in your area.
