Hi Marsha: For my very effective weed killer, you don't need a "recipe"!! Just go to the grocery store and buy a jug of Pickling Vinegar. It's much stronger than ordinary table vinegar and then use it straight (on its own) - no other item is needed - no salt, no Dawn dishwashing liquid; nothing. I bought a plant mister from the dollar store to hold the vinegar then I go around the garden once a week or so and spray. Avoid grass and flowers. The trick is to spray the Pickling Vinegar on the morning of a hot sunny day because the combination of the strong vinegar and hot sunshine burns the weeds. IF the weeds are rather established and have large leaves forming, I will sometimes tear off as many leaves as possible so that the vinegar reaches down into the root of the weed.

Weed Killer: 1 gallon white vinegar, 2 cups Epsom salts, 1/3 cup Dawn dish soap (blue kind). Spray in a.m. after dew is gone. We weed eat first to expose the base of the plant and root the best we can. It is more effective that way. Good luck! This works great for any weeds in driveway cracks etc.
