Help with camphur tree

When my home was built in '82-'83, the builder put in camphur trees ~ the oil in the leaves kills everything planted around it. It is deemed a "city tree" so cannot remove it. Any suggestions as to what I can do for landscaping?

Make a rock garden below the tree. If plants can survive in pots under it, you can do that. If they don't, "plant" artificial plants and flowers in the ground or in pots to give the area color.

Hi Marilyn, Maybe you could think along the lines of a rock and moss garden.

    Good luck!
