I wish I had them. We still use paper plates for sandwiches or fast food or fruit snacks, and we are down to three wicker plates. I would spray paint yours in one or more colors. Then I would trace drawings like pieces of fruit, animals, or my grandchildren's hands on any paper, cut them out, and use them to trace the figures onto the center of the plates. Fill in the outlines with a different color paint, spray the dry plates with a couple of coats of poly, and hang them on the wall. I have five grands, from ages 5-22. I would use even my older grands' handprints at this age. If you did not have children or grands, I would use both of your handprints or something else you like, like Scottie dogs.
Best wishes 😇
How about adding some artificial flowers on them and using them as a door decoration based on the season?
That is so funny, since I came across mine while decluttering a week ago! I was going to donate or spray paint them since they are red...Then I remembered that I had bought them for Christmas open-houses ...I was thinking of using 3 of them vertically as little bulletin boards, and spray painting the others as chargers--obviously they cannot come in contact with food. I'm not sure the red paint was safe either though.
Hello Tjnorum :) I love the way the wicker plates can be used in so many different ways (just like paper plates can too). Here is a page I go to from time to time to find wicker plate crafts for do. Maybe you can find something on this page that you want to try too. If you see something you want to try, just click on the pic. You will be taken to what I call a "portal pic" of the craft and in the lower right corner of it there will be a word you click on to go to the page where you should find the directions on how to do the craft (the "entry" word will be VISIT or READ or GO etc ) Thanks for coming to HOMETALK :)
LOL SORRY TJ .... I FORGOT TO GIVE YOU THE LINK:
