The leak has been repaired, but the stains are ugly and part of the "popcorn" paint has peeled.

You can use Kills to cover the stain Then if the area is not too large, you can buy cans of popcorn spray in a paint department to cover the area. Then paint the whole ceiling so it matches.

I have had stains bleed through Kilz and other stain blockers, the best thing I have used is shellac. Buy the type in the spray can like paint and apply to the stain, do a 2nd coat if needed, they sell pop corn repair paint in home improvement stores, use a sheet of cardboard to "test" on until you get a splatter/texture close to your ceilings. In my experience. Spray it and let it dry completely. Be careful when repainting working the roller on popcorn ceilings will cause it to crumble and pull off, so be sure to roll an even coat on and move on. Good luck,

the cans have a texture dial from fine to heavy, test out on a scrap piece of cardboard to get the texture closest to your existing ceiling.

Scrape off the rest of the popcorn, paint and you have just created an updated ceiling
