Recently I have been eating the new yogurt from Yoplait, called "oui." Since it is packaged in the cutest little glass jars, I started saving them for DIY projects. I decided to make 3 of the glass jars into pumpkin votive holders.
Remove the labels from the jars: I washed the jars in the dishwasher, then soaked the jars overnight in a sink filled with soapy water and they pulled off pretty easily.
Paint the jars: I painted 3 thin coats on the jars, letting them dry in between.  Since I did not have any orange paint on hand, I mixed my own using orange dye and white acrylic paint. I did not prime mine, but you could probably get better coverage and not need so many coats if you used a primer first.
Finish the Pumpkin with a stem: I made a "stem" by wrapping the green pipe cleaner around the mouth of the jar and bending the end to secure it. I then took the end that was free and wrapped it around my pinkie finger to curl it, so it resembled a vine. You could use these as a votive holder or put small flowers or other foliage in them.
