Something as simple as putting a ribbon and small Holly decor at the base of a large candle can help set the mood for Christmas. I have fake greenery and lights lying on top of my hutch for the holidays. Simple little snowmen from the dollar store, wooden soldiers, or mini lights in your green plant and around the stand can also make your home feel festive. Every year I use the same imitation greenery wreaths to decorate the doors. I have permanent tabs on house room doors to hang different decor. We always set up a mini village on the mantle or sofa table on white quilting filler to make it feel like snow. Sometimes I have used a round hand mirror on the village to give a frozen lake or skating pond. Spray pinecones with imitation snow and set a few together in a group, make ice cube candles in holiday colors, We even used two tomato cages and turned them upside down and covered in imitation greenery and mini lights for trees. Perhaps these few ideas will get you started on your own ideas. Have fun!

Hang Christmas ornaments from your house plants.

Hang either white or colored lights, using command strips, in a large Christmas tree shape on a large open wall.

Wrap empty boxes in Christmas paper at the base of your "tree"!
