Cut the to off leaving some pineapple. Put toothpicks around it so you can suspend it on top of a jar with water. It will root, then transplant in soil.
Root top in some water, then plant in soil. Takes 12 months for fruit

cut the green spiky leaves from the bottom, with about an inch of the bottom part. put the part you have cut above the fruit in a nice big pot it doesn't have to be a deep pot. water well in my area, the pineapple will grow easily and well. you can contact the grower [Dole, etc} for tips on when and how to expect your baby pineapple.
