How to remove dirt from the spaces between planks of old wood floor?

We have an old pine plank floor and there are grooves/spaces between the floor boards and dirt/dust accumulates in these tiny spaces and gets stuck. I usually vacuum and then use a toothpick to loosen dirt between each board and then vacuum again, but this is such a tedious task. Any suggestions?

I might try filling in some of the more troublesome spaces with whatever plastic wood compound the hardware store might suggest - there would be no space for the dirt to accumulate. If it works, you could do a few more.
If using a crevice tool on the vac doesn't work, try using rolled up Scotch tape or (my fav) Silly Putty or Playdough. I used these to get into all the nooks and crannies of my carved furniture and auto. You just press a was into the area, and it comes back coated with crumbs, sand, dust, etc. You can reuse it over and over; just keep it covered!
I would fill the floor using sawdust and epoxy.
