Easy to Make Garden Obelisk

I've always admired those wooden pyramid-shaped trellises that I've seen in English cottage gardens, but they are really pricey! My husband tried his hand at making some lately, and now we have 4 of them! You can find his directions and a diagram in the blog post.
These wooden obelisks are really easy to make.
We painted ours green, but they would look just as good natural.
Can't wait to see some climbers on these soon!

@Jane@Cottage at the Crossroads How do you keep them from blowing over in the wind?
    • @Maxene Varga That's a very good question, Maxene! We had some high winds after we put them up, and 2 of them blew over! So my husband pounded some 4 foot metal stakes that he purchased at Lowe's into the ground about 2 1/2 feet. They come with holes in the top, so he threaded some wire from the stake to obelisks to secure them. We've had more wind since them and they haven't moved since then.
  • Great project for the garden!
