You need a unit to plug it into, you can't just attach them to the TV. Check with somewhere like best buy. If you are using old speakers, make sure the wires are compatible, they have changed over the years.
I don't know if Samsung still makes it, but they made a "sound stand" which was a large, flat sound-bar type device that you put under your Samsung TV's stand. It worked quite well, the one I know of is still in use.
You should use either traditional audio speakers. Suggest you go to Crutchfield.com and contact them. Be sure to provide the name and model of your television.
Whatever wireless speakers you choose, make sure you know what plugs your Smart TV supports. Your choices are a 3.5mm jack, an RCA plug, or an Optical audio cord. The last one is your best choice for sound quality. Hope that helps.
You can use tower speakers, I guess. they won't look bad with TV as they have pretty decent look. I bought mine after reading reviews here , if may help you find for yourself as well. Link here. Also for any entertainment product reviews or buying guide especially, you can search any top at thebestronics. I read about them, read lots of reviews about them, now I daily visit them for purchasing items that interests me. Although, they have majority of links to amazon so you just look out for specific features that meet your needs then go to amazon for buying.
