Question about Coating for patio table top

I'm making a new table top for a patio table. I collected sand dollars from the beach. I bleached them. Now I want to use mastic to adhere them to cement board. Then fill with some sea glass for color and groat. I am using small 1" glass tiles around the outside edge for the trim. I was wanting a cheaper way to coat the top than Pour-on. It will be quite expensive to use several bottles of it to get it to cover the entire table. Do they make some other epoxy or polyurethane or something that will the same thing but maybe cheaper?

You could also try use Famowood, I think it's about $70 for a Gallon. Another alternative would be to look for an table top epoxy resin coating. They normally use it to coat bar tops in pubs or the outside woodwork on boats. I hope you come right, the table sounds like it will be something really special

I bought a Famwood Glaze Coat kit, around 22. at Home Depot. Each bottle is 16 oz.. so for my next project, I will use whatever I want to coat, as think and flat as possible to save buy several boxes of the sealant. I did a project for my bathroom stand, It had 3 shelves. I used sea glass, so the coating was 3 boxes, more than I expected,. But it is done and I learned :) If you bought a gallon, you can use it for other projects. I am thinking of buying a plain wood breakfast tray and using small (as they are flat) sand dollars.
