This DIY Pumpkin Display is perfect for fall porch displays. If you'd like to give out trick or treats, but have other things to attend to, you can also use this to hold your candy.

When you have a home decor store, fall is one of the most important times of the year. The colors are beautiful and serve as great inspiration for home decorations. It's also the start of a very busy season.

We've spent the last couple of weeks getting fall decoration ideas together for our booths at the Market at Walnut Creek in Tulsa, OK and River City Trading Post in Jenks, OK. We've linked to their Facebook pages, so you can check out their fall decor and get inspiration for your home.
To showcase different ways to use Amy Howard Products, we decided to make this Pumpkin Display with Galvanized Bucket. We're using the top bucket to serve as a candy holder for customers coming our booth at the Market at Walnut Creek.
First collect all your materials together. It is quite a list, but most materials are found at the hardware store. Amy Howard High Performance Spray Lacquer, Amy Howard Zinc Antiquing Solution, Amy Howard Clean Slate, 2 Galvanized Buckets (optional size)

Tools:Jig Saw, Drill

Hardware:2 3/4  Malleable Steel Pipe, (optional lengths), 6 1 inch Washers, 2 3/4 inch Nipples, 3 3/4 Couplers, 1 Wood Base, 1 Floor Flange and screws
First, start the prep work. Clean Slate is one of the easiest ways to clean your pieces. You'll want to get any stickers off the buckets. Clean Slate is great for removing the residue left behind the stickers. You can also use diluted Simple Green, but remember to wipe with a damp rag to wipe off with surfactants.

Next, antique the buckets.Pour Zinc Antiquing Solution into a bowl. Take a lint free rag and dip into the solution. Generously apply in a random pattern all over the buckets.
Once your buckets are antiqued to the extent you want, it's time to start building the display.Using a pipe measure out a hole. Take 1/4 inch drill bit and drill a hole on just the edge of the circle. This will help give you a starting point for your saw. Using a jig saw, cut the remaining circle and make a hole.
Now it's time to start putting everything together.Screw the floor flange down onto the wood base. Add a couple of washers before putting on the first bucket.
Add another washer, nipple and coupler, then twist on the pipe. Add a washer, twist on the coupler and a nipple then stack on the next bucket and another washer. Finally, add a coupler with a nipple, the last coupler and the second pipe.
You're done with your display! Just add a few finishing details like your pumpkins or candy or any other accessories to go with your porch display.
Now you have all the steps to create your porch display! Show us in the comments your fall porch display!
