There are so many benefits to making your own decorations. One is you can use the same materials and supplies over and over again.

The other is if you get creative, you can make the decorations you see at the store for a fraction of the cost.

Not only are these Halloween candlesticks budget friendly, but it's easy and quick, so you can do it in a time crunch. Check the post below for two different webbed Halloween candle holder methods.
Materials Needed:Wine Bottles, Cleaning Product (Diluted Simple Green or Clean Slate), 320 Sandpaper, Glue Gun (optional), Black High Performance Spray Lacquer, and Bright Idea
The Spray Method. First, prep your wine bottles. Remove labels and clean with Clean Slate or diluted Simple Green. If you use Simple Green remember to wipe with a damp rag to remove surfactants. Once dry, you can draw Halloween decorations using hot glue or leave them them plain
Next paint the wine bottles using High Performance Spray Lacquer. I did a coat of black with light coat of Silver to keep it translucent then added a light coat of black. I wanted to give a grunge look, so I just painted with short random burst.
Finally, peel off the the hot glue.
The Webbed Method. For this method, you'll need a tub of water.Instead of spraying directly on the wine bottle, spray into the lid and pour into the water.
Give it a few seconds to set, then quickly dip your wine bottle and turn in the spray lacquer. Check out the blog post for more details on this webbed method.
And there you have it. Stick some tapered candles in there and they'll bring a new life to any Halloween decor. Let us know in the comments, what you're favorite method was!
