Deck restained last year redwood color. Would your advice affect the color? Did you use mouthwash with or without alcohol? Mildew only on outer edges of steps and main deck. Thanks for your help!! 😊

Bleach and water, and a stiff brush
My recipe works for me:
1 gallon water
1 bottle mouth wash
tbsp dawn
Put in sprayer
apply to entire deck
let dry
watch for desired result
rinse and dry
repeat as necessary
take care around plants
also helps knock down bugs !

Peroxide and water
Make a solution of bleach and water if there are no plants near. Let sit for awhile and then rinse.
