Yes this is the mother of invention: take boiling water in a full pail add dawn dish soap only and dump it fast.

Im no plumber but I've certainly paid a plumber when I've had a similar problem! You didn't mention whether you're on a septic tank or public sewer or a combination. In any case I've had this problem multiple times with different causes. A weak flush can be because there's not enough water building into your tank. So you get a sort of half flush if that. To check this take off the lid & see if the water fills up after a flush. It should be somewhere near the water line of the tank.

Next it can be clogged going outward. I've experienced this when unmentionables like adult wipes, baby wipes, a toothbrush etc have been flushed. At times they clear eventually but sometimes it'll just make your toilet overflow eventually. I had to obtain a snake to push down in order to free the clog but beware. If you can't push it free it can clog worse. The snake I bought was about 15' & less than $10. I've heard of people that try the vinegar & baking soda mixture for clogs with it. The natural enzymes for use with septic is great prevention for this problem but that's not where you are.

Well heck. I hope it's fixed itself but if not here are some thoughts. You can do this & if not there's always a plumber.

    Good vibes.

It most likely has build up in the pipes. For now put white vinegar in the tank, then put rid X in the toilet and see what happens

Mine gets sluggish when the first rains come, and I put Roebic Root Killer down the toliet one night, and then the Drain Cleaner down the next. Works for me every time.

I agree with Linda, it could be clogged, if septic it could be full, also if your toilet is not seated flush with the floor the wax seal could be broken and sucking air. I once found my hair pick (remember the 80's) was flushed by my nephew and it was slowing down the flush when larger evacuations were getting blocked and a snake did not work, had to dismantle the whole thing.
