What could I do with a small bag of wine corks?

I've looked at some ideas on Pinterest, but none of those I found were appealin. I'm trying to preserve them for my Culinary graduate. They're really special to her, about 16 of them. Any ideas to make these into a keepsake that could either hang on a wall or something that would be used seldom enough without damaging them. I'd like ideas on making a piece of art or adding to something that would be practical yet have sentimental value.

Could you decorate a nice frame with them that she could put her certificate/diploma in?

Why don't you glue them on a base to use as a trivet. Or just put them in a very pretty clear glass jar.

Use them to put on fishing tackle hooks, to prevent tangles and cuts.

I hang tarps from the eve to keep rain off my fire wood. I use oversize cup hooks and put the brass hole protectors on the tarp over them. I found the wind would blow them off. A wine cork firmly over the end of the hook, stopped the wind from blowing the tarp rings off.

Lost caps on gas and/or diesel fuel cans, shape the cork to fit. I have several in that chore. Hang in front of glass windows and doors with fishing line, the wind will move them enough to keep birds from flying into the glass.
