Hi Shirley, I would use Angieslist.com. If you can't find one in your area, you may want to go to a reputable furniture dealer and ask them who they use!

    Good luck!

Thank you Suzette for this idea! I live in a rather rural area, so I really didn't think about Angie's list. No furniture dealer in the area either. Thank you though.

You can check with your local tech school or college. Many times they teach refinishing. This is a very economical way to get beautiful work done.

Thank you Peggy for the idea! However the closest tech school or college is over an hour away. This piece of furniture is pretty good size so I don't want to haul it all over. 😃

  • Google is my best friend - I can find almost anything. Then check their license through your states Contractors License Board. I am also on Nextdoor and receive great neighbor recommendations too.

Go to Google maps over your town and put in furniture refinishing near me and places will come up on the map. Also, check with any antique stores in your area. I run a booth at an antique mall and people there know I refinish furniture.
